Springboard for the Arts
Springboard for the Arts is an economic and community development organization in St. Paul MN that cultivates vibrant communities by connecting artists with the skills, information, and services they need to impact positive and sustained growth. Springboard for the Arts believes that artists are key contributors to community issues and develops programs and services to link artists to the work of municipal, civic, and community agencies and initiatives.
Among Springboards projects is Imagine Fergus Falls, a year-long initiative that will engage artists as community leaders and lead to the creation of dozens of artist-led placemaking projects in service of the historic preservation and economic improvement goals of the City of Fergus Falls. Imagine Fergus Falls is funded in part through a National Endowment for the Arts Our Town 2013 grant.
Another project, The Doer Team, is working with the Neighborhood Development Corporation to link artists’ creative problem solving skills and artistic sensibilities to assist small businesses on the Green Line with practical solutions to businesses’ issues and opportunities.
Springboard for the Arts provides simple, practical solutions and systems to support artists including resource listings, a job board, professional and community development programs, and an incubator that connects over 150 regional projects.
